What
kind of printing do you use on your discs? Is is InkJet
or Silkscreen? What make it better?
What
kind of printing do you use on your discs? Is is InkJet
or Silkscreen? What makes it better?
ALL
discs made at AFP are printed directly to disc and there
is NO EXTRA CHARGE FOR FULL COLOR (but
if you want black on silver we can do that too!). Our direct
on disc printing is NOT on labels, NOT inkjet and yes...it's
BETTER than silk screen! We use a cutting edge heat and
pressure re-transfer technology to produce photo-realistic
discs that have the rugged durability of silk-screen or
thermal but that look much superior. Silk-screen printing
typically produces 85-120 LPI. Glossy magazines are generally
offset printed at 150 LPI. Our printing process prints on
CD's and DVD's at a striking 160 LPI— in other words,
color printing that looks and is BETTER than silk-screen!
The ink we use is UV protected, ensuring vibrant colors
throughout the life of a disc. This makes our discs
waterproof and scratch proof
and they can even survive direct sunshine. You'll ruin the
disc itself before you can damage the printing on our discs.
This enables discs to be used for commercial distribution
because our printed discs can withstand the rigors of day-to-day
consumer handling. If you want to see for yourself just
give us a call today and we'll mail you a FREE disc so you
can be the judge! Once you see our on disc printing you
will be a believer. We will even dare you to compare our
discs with any disc that you can buy from stores manufactured
by major record companies!

My
band just plays in bars locally. What is the benefit of
having an EPK?
EPK's
are a great promotional tool for any band. Even if you play
in local venues its a great way to "dazzle" prospective
venues in your promo pack. Most venue owners will tell you
that they book bands based on their promo package and how
professional they appear. EPK's will set you promo package
apart from other entertainers using their own home computers
to design homemade promotional material.
